I had been thinking about a yacht trip and I’d seen lots of others advertised, this one was not the cheapest but also not the most expensive, so I decided to follow the recommendation, albeit from a stranger. I’m so glad I did! We had the most wonderful day. We met and paid in a beautiful boutique. I was a little worried when we were asked to get into a small rubber boat to get onto the yacht, but the water was very shallow and the lovely young man Brian was very cheerful and put me at ease. I should not have worried because the yacht was beautiful! It was so clean and there were lots of places to sit or sunbathe. The crew were the friendliest and most helpful young men I’ve ever met; their big smiles and enthusiasm for the trip were infectious. We spent around an hour sailing to the small islands, the sea was a little rough at times, but the crew were so laid back, serving lots of drinks, not spilling anything as they hopped around the boat while I held on tightly! I’m nervous at sea but I actually had a lot of fun and felt completely safe. We spent about an hour at a beautiful island surrounded by aqua blue shallow waters, a vision of paradise that I shall never forget. The dinghy collected us and brought us back onboard for a fabulous barbecued lunch, all beautifully presented and delicious. I had low expectations for the food and was very pleasantly surprised. On the journey back to Grand Bay, we stopped at the large rocky island that we had seen from our hotel. Many others on the yacht decided to snorkel but my partner and I chose to stay and watch the younger people splashing around while drinking mojitos! As we sailed back to Grand Bay for the end of the voyage, the crew put on music and the other guests started dancing. I think I must have finally found my sea legs (or more likely the mojitos kicked in) because by the end I was dancing with them! We had so much fun on this trip, it’s obvious that they care so much about their guest, it was absolutely an unforgettable experience and the highlight of our adventure in Mauritius.

Boat was very clean, crew were friendly and offered coffee on arrival.

Soon as we set sail they offered us drinks at 9:30am!,

It took us about one and half hours under sail for first stop on a beautiful beach.

Back on the boat we had a delicious buffet of fish, prawns, meat and salads with plenty of drinks.

Stooped for snorkelling, saw plenty of fish and dolphin on the way back.

They had music and dancing and a friendly bunch on board, so much so we shared one more drink in the Beach house Bar as we disembarked.

Thanks to the The Top Cat crew for making it fun day for £60 per head good value, for a good day out
